Label Points Already on Graph

Label Points in Quadrant I - How it Works - Video

Example A

Example A:

Here we are labeling the points that are already on the graph. After we find point A on the graph, we should draw a line to the x-axis and y-axis. Drawing a line straight down to the x-axis leads to the number, 0, and we are already on the y-axis so we look straight across to the number, 5. So our point is (0, 5).

Example B

Example B:

Here we are labeling the points that are already on the graph. After we find point B on the graph, we should draw a line to the x-axis and y-axis. Drawing a line straight down to the x-axis leads to the number, 1. Now we can draw a line to the left to the y-axis, and that leads us the number, 2. So our point is (1, 2).

Example C

Example C:

Here we are labeling the points that are already on the graph. After we find point C on the graph, we should draw a line to the x-axis and y-axis. Drawing a line straight down to the x-axis leads to the number, 1. Now we can draw a line to the left to the y-axis, and that leads us the number, 2. So our point is (1, 2).

Example D

Example D:

Here we are labeling the points that are already on the graph. After we find point D on the graph, we should draw a line to the x-axis and y-axis. Drawing a line straight down to the x-axis leads to the number, 4. Now we can draw a line to the left to the y-axis, and that leads us the number, 3. So our point is (4, 3).

Example E

Example E:

Here we are labeling the points that are already on the graph. After we find point E on the graph, we should draw a line to the x-axis and y-axis. Drawing a line straight down to the x-axis leads to the number, 5. Now we can draw a line to the left to the y-axis, and that leads us the number, 4. So our point is (5, 4).
